Wheal Mary pumping engine house after being struck by lightning on 31st March 1886. Wheal Mary formed part of the extensive Wheal Sisters tin mine about two miles south of St Ives. Note the extensive damage to the boiler house and the engine house. Wooden scaffolding has been raised and work has started on the rebuilding of the stack. Photographer: Unknown
