Lanyon Cromlech, Madron, Cornwall. October 1858
The Lanyon Cromlech or Quoit with a girl standing by one of the three support stones. The monument collapsed during a storm in 1815 and was re-erected nine years later. One of the upright stones was badly damaged and not replaced so the original formation was lost. Photographer: Dr John Wheeley Gough Gutch
