A weeks supply of eggs in Truro, Cornwall. August 1915?

Elderly woman in a shop displaying eggs collected to feed wounded soldiers. There is a sign appealing for donations: Our wounded sorely need your aid! Will you help. The National Egg Collection for the Wounded campaign started in August 1915, aiming to collect 1 million eggs for the wounded. The scheme was so successful that they achieved 1 million eggs a month.
