Red Cross nurses and patients in St Austell Ward, decorated in flags, lanterns and greenery for Christmas. First prize for decorations. Many of the people are named, but the nurses are not necessarily in any order. They are:- Thora ? " sister", VAD nurses Baker, Rowlands and Pappin, Patients, from the left, Streeley? (Irish) decorated in war, H. Smith (boy), A. Kirby airman (in chair), Ennis, Robertson, Malcolm McConnell, Douglas Brown, Keating, Allen (in chair), Arthur Cottam (in chair) served on a destroyer, Chapman served on board HMS Lion.
