Wreath-bedecked memorial, with onlookers. The memorial was unveiled on 15th October 1922 to commemorate those who died in the First World War (1914-1918). It also now commemorates those lost in the Second World War (1939-1945), the Falklands Conflict (1982) and Afghanistan (2001-2014). The commercial premises of Heard and Sons, Cornwall Organ Factory, N. Gill and Sons and Jordan Central News Agency, Printing Works, bookseller and stationer can be seen. Jordans was the premises of the photographer of this image: Arthur William Jordan
