Lorry crash, Lostwithiel, Cornwall. August 1987

A low-loader operated by CAS Transport & Warehousing Company, carrying heavy machinery, which jack-knifed as it was negotiating Lostwithiel hill. The road was blocked for several hours until a breakdown truck arrived. Over the years many lorries have crashed whilst coming down the hill, before speed restrictions were put in place.
