The Sealed Knot re-enact the Battle of Lostwithiel on fields a mile outside the town. The original was fought in 1644 during the English civil war and resulted in victory for the Royalists commanded by King Charles I. The Sealed Knot re-enactment group takes its name from a secret association, in the 17th century, aimed at the restoration of the monarchy. Photographer: Jonathan Barker
