Giant Pasty, Fowey, Cornwall. August 1992

A giant pasty has been a feature of Fowey Regatta Week since the 1960s. It was made by Tony Minalls bakery in Polruan, and brought over the harbour by Fowey Town Band on one of the harbour tugs. With great ceremony the pasty was cut on the steps of the King of Prussia pub, situated on the town quay, later being distributed to local and holidaying children. Photographer: Jonathan Barker
