Metal Prints From Royal Cornwall Museum

Medieval Music, Lostwithiel, Cornwall. February 1990

Over 150 attended a lecture and recital by one of the worlds leading authorities on medieval music. Mary Remnant, on the right of the photograph, assisted by Hilary Shaw, chose the theme of the pilgrim routes to Santiago De Compostela in north west Spain. The programme featured songs and music from 13th to 16th century and were played on specially recreated instruments including an organistrum, pictured, a rebec, tabor and medieval harp.
