Tolvaddon Mine, Illogan Cornwall. Around 1900
Two stacks, the front stack is a steamer stack and the rear stack is an arsenic calciner of East Pool and Agar. There is smoke pouring through the cracked brick work at the top of the front stack. This chimney was considered too dangerous to climb. The top of the chimney was therefore shot off by a crack-shot called Blight. Photographer: Unknown
