Taylors Engine Shaft, Tywarnhayle Mine, Porth Towan, St Agnes, Cornwall. Around 1907
This shows the electric sinking pump and motor in the attempted re-working of the mine at this time. The motor was rated at 1, 000 hp and the pump was capable of delivering 1, 000 gallons per minute from the forty fathom level. The derelict Cornish pumping engine house is in the background.
