Reticulated dull grey galena on larger dull grey octahedral crystals of galena. Collector Philip Rashleigh wrote in his mineral catalogue: 163 Crystallized Lead Ore like Philligree work with some larger Crystals of Lead Ore intermixed, Leicestershire. r.r.r.. The locality is recorded as Staunton Harold and this specimen is typical of those collected from the Earl Ferrers Mines. Galena is the primary ore mineral of lead. Rashleigh Collection
