The obverse depicts Queen Anne (reigned 1702-1714). The reverse features merged shields, representing the union of England and Scotland. Queen Anne was the first monarch of the United Kingdom after the Union of England and Scotland in 1707. She had seventeen pregnancies but only one child survived before dying at the age of 11. The coin is 24 mm in diameter and weighs around 6 grams
