Fowey Regatta Queen, Fowey, Cornwall. August 1992
After a wait of 53 years, the uncrowned carnival queen of Fowey, Winifred Finding, finally had her day. She was chosen as queen in 1939 but missed out on her crowning when war broke out. The crowning ceremony took place in the grounds of Fowey Hall Hotel by Rusty Eplett, chairman of the Regatta Committee. Mrs Finding is pictured with one of her attendants, Phylis Newton.
