Harbour scene with the Guiding Star, Padstow. Cornwall. June 1906

Guiding Star with the Barry pilot cutter no. 5 under sail. The Guiding Star was a topsail schooner from London, built at Howden in 1875. She was 81 4 by 22 6 by 11. On Christmas Eve 1926 she drifted ashore in a calm on the Welsh coast and became a total loss. Photographer: John Charles Burrow
