Three men, including the driver, sit in the front. A man and young woman stand posing for the camera. They could be bus passengers as the young woman is carrying valise. However, the man could be a postal worker or Great Western Railway employee, as his coat has brass buttons as would be found on a uniform. Mr Tommy Dawe is holding the postal bag and the donkey reins. He has a badge with letters and number 4 on both sides of his jacket collar. It is not certain, but this could be GPO 4 which might be the local postmans uniform. The notice on the right reads: GREAT WESTERN RAILWAY COMPANYs ROAD MOTOR CARS WILL LEAVE THIS HALTE. (RUAN MINOR CROSS ROADS) The two columns below this read. Left side: FOR HOUSEL ROAD AND THE LIZARD. The right side is illegible, apart from the last entry of HELSTON STATION.
