Ropehaven House, near Trenarren, St Austell, Cornwall. 1966
View of Ropehaven House from the beach. The house is built on the site of a former fish cellar and small fishing harbour. A small fishing hamlet existed above the site, but has long since disappeared. The land and harbour were owned by the Hext family for 351 years, before being sold in 1989. The remains of the small harbour can be seen, now acting as the house and land boundary. Photographer: Charles Woolf
