Crowd in street watching man on stilts. Garnet House can be seen on the right side which is rumoured to be haunted. The fair was a Charter fair dating back to 1227 and was held at Lower Penhale. It moved to Summercourt in 1711. The fair was held on 25th September and was originally for cattle and horses. Photographer: Arthur William Jordan?
