Cape Cornwall, St Just in Penwith, Cornwall. Around 1890
Hand coloured glass lantern slide showing Cape Cornwall from the NE side, above Porth Ledden (Porthledden). Wheal Call Counthouse can be seen on the left. The Brisons, which lie about a mile from the mainland, can be seen immediately to the left of the cape. Cape Cornwall marks the point where the Atlantic currents divide. Some of the water flows north into the Bristol Channel and the Irish Sea with the rest becoming the English Channel. Photographer: Gibson
