Lower Lemon Street, Truro, Cornwall. Probably 1911
A view of Lower Lemon Street looking from Boscawen Street. The street is decorated with flags and garlands possibly for the Coronation of George V in 1911, or maybe for the Bath and West Show which was held in Truro in 1913. There are several people in the street including two policemen, a horse and cart and a motor car. London House is on the corner of Lower Lemon Street and Boscawen Street on the left, selling dress fabrics. A man is putting the awning up on London House so perhaps it is early in the day. Lloyds Bank can be seen on the opposite corner. Photographer: Unknown
