Moresk House, in the vicinity of Moresk Road, Truro, Cornwall. 1920s
The steam laundry visible behind the house with the stone Truro Viaduct, also known as Moresk Viaduct, in the distance. The viaduct is the longest in Cornwall and was built in 1904 to replace Brunels original timber fanned viaduct. Fourteen of the original Brunel stone piers are still standing alongside the newer viaduct, some of which can be seen in the photograph. Moresk House has since been demolished.
