Back Quay and The Green, Truro, Cornwall. Early 1900s

This summer view, at high tide, is taken from Lemon Quay looking at the Back Quay side of the River Kenwyn. It gives a good view of The Green, with its surrounding trees and a line of washing drying in the breeze. A two masted topsail schooner lies alongside. Mute swans can be seen on the river with Truro School on the skyline. Photographer: Arthur Philp
