Almshouses after renovation. Originally built about 1800 by William Rashleigh as four cottages. Extended in the 19th century by three more cottages and in 1855 a small hospital block was added. Restored in 1977-8 when the seven almshouses were converted to three cottages with extensions at the back. Photographer: Charles Woolf
