Taken from the the south western side of Polzeath looking north easterly towards the main village area. Cars are parked on the beach with people enjoying a sunny summers day in the late 1930s. At the centre right of the picture is an area that looks like the early stages of the construction of the road bridge, with a temporary foot bridge, cement mixer, workmans hut and other building materials.
