Indian Trip, Lerryn, St Veep, Cornwall. October 1991
Lifelong friends from Lerryn, Frances McDiarmid, 18, (left) and Rebecca Pearce, 19, are off to Bombay for 6 months. Once there they will live with Indian families and teach English to local children. They are spending their gap year after A Levels and before university on the project. Frances and Rebecca are pictured with t-shirts signed by friends and well-wishers. Photographer: Jonathan Barker
