View of the house from the lawn. Trevissome is a grade II listed early 19th century house situated between Mylor Bridge and Flushing. At the time of the photograph, the Georgian country house was owned by Captain Wilfred Dowman and his wife, Catharine. The Dowmans purchased the clipper Cutty Sark in 1922 and restored her for use as a cadet training vessel. Photographer: Arthur William Jordan
